Don't Hate, Appreciate
A poem I found...uhh... somewhere... supposedly made for Gaara of Naruto.
I found it kinda good so... here's to all Gaara fans?
Death's Lover
A final tool for the purpose of war
Protected, shielded, pampered and bored
Curled up in shadow, shunned by man
Silence inside the shell of sand
Never in peace to close these eyes
Sleep would wake the beast inside
Powers aplenty, affection denied
“No heart within where the beast resides”
What if a soul once lingered there?
Killed by knowing that no one cared
A wound to skin could never bleed
More than the heart in constant need
Spoken words, so kind and sure
Said that love was heartache’s cure
Peace at first was an inner thrill
But eyes so kind had a mission to kill
Reassurance had come from the very same
Who was meant to dig my early grave
A two-faced world betrayed this child
All faith lost in humankind
But where human love failed and tears were shed
I found my love in the one called death
Faithful shadow always followed
This demon child, slowly hollowed
And to those who caused the gaping rift
I shared my lover as a gift
Death I gave all, watched them squirm
And felt existence reconfirmed
A world of tears to equal mine
Forms the reason to stay alive
As long as there are souls to kill
My purpose here will be fulfilled
My life differs from that of others
I bring the shadows, I am death's lover
